Dotti Ambis, M.D.
Patient Advocate
Dotti Ambis received her medical degree from SUNY at Buffalo in 1978 after receiving her B.A. in Chemistry from Ithaca College and her high school diploma from Pine Valley Central School in Western New York. She completed her residency in Family Practice at the University of Rochester Highland Hospital program in 1981. Dr. Dotti then served as the physician and medical director at the Groton Health Care Center and Residential Care Facility in Central New York for two years.
In 1983, she turned her full attention to home to raise and home school two daughters until joining our staff as office manager and medical consultant in 1995. She is a member of the American Medical Association. Dotti lives in Cayuga Heights with husband and co-worker Dr. Edward Ambis, where they share a full family life with their three dogs, KC, Cloey, and Bo, and two cats, Pookie and Prince. Dotti’s interests include music and sports.
Sarah Shaff
Dental Assistant
Sarah Shaff has been with our practice since 2003. She is a member of the Association of Dental Implant Auxiliaries and Practice Management, and currently serves on our staff as a dental assistant. A graduate of Dryden High School, Sarah went on to attend Tompkins-Cortland Community College.
She resides in Trumansburg with her husband Josh, where she is involved in animal rescue. Sarah has four cats and four dogs, and is a music fan, especially of the blues.
